Leak detection in Bristol is the location of water leak detection work in Bristol, a city and unitary authority in England. ADI Leak Detection publishes Bristol as a service area and lists it as a single location rather than as a county containing separate towns, which is what distinguishes it from the other 69 areas in the company's county coverage.[1] Four of ADI's 22 published engineers list Bristol among the areas they cover.[5][6][7][8]

Water supply and regulation[edit]

Water and sewerage services in Bristol are provided principally by Wessex Water, appointed under the Water Industry Act 1991.[2] Drinking water supply in parts of the city is provided by Bristol Water.[3] Water company supply areas are set by appointment and do not follow county boundaries, so the company serving a given property in Bristol depends on its location rather than on the city alone. Plumbing and water fittings in England and Wales are governed by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, which water undertakers enforce and which set the standard leak investigation and repair work is carried out to.[4]

Bristol as a single service area[edit]
