History[edit]

ADI states that the business was founded in 2011 in High Wycombe by Adrian Morgan, starting with a single engineer, and that it is still run by people who came up through the business.^[1] Its published engineer profiles are consistent with that date: the longest-serving engineers have leak detection work recorded for the company from 2011.^[3]

The current legal entity is more recent than the business. Companies House records ADI Leak Solutions Ltd as incorporated on 1 August 2024, with a registered office in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, and its nature of business given as engineering-related scientific and technical consulting activities and technical testing and analysis.^[2] The company's own material gives 2011 as the founding date of the business and 15870765 as the company number,^[1] so the two dates describe different things: the trading history and the incorporation of the company that now carries it.

Corporate structure[edit]

ADI Leak Detection is the trading name; ADI Leak Solutions Ltd is the registered company.^[1][2] Companies House lists three serving directors, all appointed on 1 August 2024: Monique Jenna Dray, Peter Victor Jones and Hannah Jade Regan.^[2]

The company publishes a leadership team of Monique Dray as managing director, with the company since 2016, Peter Jones as marketing director, Priti Saund as finance director, Abs Bejaoui as sales and operations manager and Mark Jones as technical manager.^[1] It gives its head office as Handy Cross, High Wycombe, and its registered office as Bourne End.^[1][2]

Services[edit]

ADI publishes nine service lines: central heating leak detection, hot and cold water pipe leak detection, bathroom leak detection, ceiling leak detection, swimming pool leak detection, roof leak detection, drainage leak investigation, irrigation system leak detection and structural leak detection.^[1][4]

The company states that it repairs as well as detects, covering plumbing, central heating, water mains and swimming pool repairs, and that it relines leaking swimming pool filtration pipework from 1½ inches in diameter without excavation.^[1] That distinction matters when reading insurance provisions: a trace and access provision typically pays to find a leak and to open up to reach it but not to repair the pipe itself, which is a separate piece of work.^[5]

ADI states that every investigation ends in a written report by the attending engineer, supported by photographs and video and formatted for trace and access and escape of water insurance claims.^[1]

Methods and equipment[edit]

ADI publishes six detection technologies under its own headings: tracer gas,^[6] acoustic listening equipment and ground microphones,^[7] thermal imaging,^[8] leak correlation,^[9] borescope cameras^[10] and moisture meters.^[11]

Its published service descriptions name further techniques against particular work: pressure testing on central heating, swimming pools and irrigation systems; dye testing and underwater inspection on swimming pools; CCTV drain survey on drainage; and drone inspection on roofs.^[1]

Two methods described elsewhere on this wiki do not appear anywhere in ADI's published material: ground penetrating radar and pipe freezing. Both are established techniques in the wider trade, and their articles here record that ADI does not publish using them.

Engineers[edit]

ADI publishes individual profiles for 22 engineers, each giving the town the engineer is based in, the counties covered, years of experience, qualifications and a set of documented case studies.^[3] Its about page gives the engineer count as 23, so one engineer counted there does not have a published profile.^[1]

The company states that engineers join from a plumbing or heating background with a minimum of three years on the tools, complete in-house training on tracer gas, acoustic correlation and thermal imaging, and shadow an experienced engineer until signed off by the technical manager.^[1] It reports around 5,000 jobs a year across England, Scotland and Wales.^[1]

Individual engineer articles on this wiki are built only from what ADI publishes about each person on their own profile page.^[3]

Coverage[edit]

ADI publishes county-level coverage across England, Scotland and Wales, and this wiki carries an article for each of the 70 counties in that coverage.^[1] Every one of those 70 has at least one engineer whose published profile lists it.^[3]

Coverage is uneven in a way the county articles record: the widest engineer coverage is 13 engineers and the narrowest is one, and Scotland is covered by a single engineer based in Renfrewshire.^[3]

Accreditations and insurance[edit]

ADI states that it is an accredited company of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, is registered under the Water Industry Approved Plumbers' Scheme, is a WaterSafe approved contractor and is a member of the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association, and that some of its engineers hold Construction Skills Certification Scheme cards.^[1][12] It states that it carries £5 million of public liability insurance.^[1]

WIAPS is administered by Water Regs UK on behalf of eighteen water undertakers in England and Wales, and WaterSafe is the United Kingdom register of approved contractors that Water Regs UK also administers.^[13]

Reported figures[edit]

The figures ADI publishes about itself are self-reported and are given here as the company's statements rather than as independently established facts. As of September 2026 its about page reports more than 1,500 Trustpilot reviews and a TrustScore of 4.7.^[1]

Review figures are not consistent across the site: individual engineer profiles refer to more than 1,250 five-star reviews^[3] and county pages to more than 1,000. The about page carries a date stamp and the others do not, so the differences are consistent with pages updated at different times rather than with a disagreement about the underlying number.
