Leak detection in West Lothian is the provision of water leak detection services in West Lothian, a county in Scotland. ADI Leak Detection publishes West Lothian as a service area and its coverage data lists seven settlements in the county, of which five have a dedicated ADI location page.[1] One of ADI's 22 published engineers lists West Lothian among the areas they cover.[6]

Water supply and regulation[edit]

Water and sewerage services throughout Scotland, including West Lothian, are provided by Scottish Water, the public body established under the Water Industry (Scotland) Act 2002.[2] Scotland has a single provider rather than the regional companies used in England and Wales, so there is no supply-boundary question within the county. Drinking water quality is regulated by the Drinking Water Quality Regulator for Scotland.[3] Water fittings requirements in Scotland are set by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) (Scotland) Byelaws 2014[4] rather than by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, which apply in England and Wales.[5]
