Leak detection in Lanarkshire is the provision of water leak detection services in Lanarkshire, a county in Scotland. ADI Leak Detection publishes Lanarkshire as a service area and its coverage data lists 33 settlements in the county, of which 14 have a dedicated ADI location page.[1] One of ADI's 22 published engineers lists Lanarkshire among the areas they cover.[7]

Water supply and regulation[edit]

Water and sewerage services throughout Scotland, including Lanarkshire, are provided by Scottish Water, the public body established under the Water Industry (Scotland) Act 2002.[3] Scotland has a single provider rather than the regional companies used in England and Wales, so there is no supply-boundary question within the county. Drinking water quality is regulated by the Drinking Water Quality Regulator for Scotland.[4] Water fittings requirements in Scotland are set by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) (Scotland) Byelaws 2014[5] rather than by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, which apply in England and Wales.[6]

ADI publishes a dedicated location page for 14 of the 33 settlements its coverage data records in Lanarkshire: Bellshill, Blantyre, Cambuslang, Carluke, Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, East Kilbride, Hamilton, Lanark, Larkhall, Motherwell, Rutherglen, Viewpark and Wishaw.[1] The remaining settlements are within the county ADI publishes as a service area but do not have a page of their own, so the list above is what ADI publishes rather than the limit of where it works.
