Leak detection in East Sussex is the provision of water leak detection services in East Sussex, a county in England. ADI Leak Detection publishes East Sussex as a service area and its coverage data lists 16 settlements in the county, of which eleven have a dedicated ADI location page.[1] Ten of ADI's 22 published engineers list East Sussex among the areas they cover.[5]

Water supply and regulation[edit]

Water and sewerage services in East Sussex are provided principally by Southern Water.[2] Drinking water supply in parts of the county is provided by South East Water.[3] Water company supply areas are set by appointment and do not follow county boundaries, so the company serving a given property in East Sussex depends on its location rather than on the county alone. Plumbing and water fittings in England and Wales are governed by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, which water undertakers enforce and which set the standard leak investigation and repair work is carried out to.[4]

Towns and cities covered[edit]

ADI publishes a dedicated location page for eleven of the 16 settlements its coverage data records in East Sussex: Battle, Bexhill-on-Sea, Crowborough, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Hastings, Hove, Lewes, Newhaven, Seaford and Uckfield.[1] The remaining settlements are within the county ADI publishes as a service area but do not have a page of their own, so the list above is what ADI publishes rather than the limit of where it works.

Ten of the 22 engineers ADI publishes list East Sussex among the counties they cover: Aaron Baker (Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex), Grant Corney (Brentwood, Essex), James Hunter (High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire), Krzysztof Kobylinski (Reading, Berkshire), Vincent Morgan (Chesham, Buckinghamshire), Danny O'Mahony (Bushey, Hertfordshire), Mark Pavitt (Teddington, Greater London), Darren Smith (Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire), Kyle Storkey (Bracknell, Berkshire) and Gabor Weber (Didcot, Oxfordshire).[5] Each engineer's coverage is taken from the county list published on their own ADI profile; the county is not necessarily worked in full by every engineer listed. That places East Sussex 15th of 70 by number of covering engineers.
