Leak detection in Isle of Wight is the provision of water leak detection services in Isle of Wight, a county in England. ADI Leak Detection publishes Isle of Wight as a service area and its coverage data lists nine settlements in the county, of which five have a dedicated ADI location page.[1] Six of ADI's 22 published engineers list Isle of Wight among the areas they cover.[4]
Water supply and regulation[edit]
Water and sewerage services in Isle of Wight are provided principally by Southern Water.[2] Water company supply areas are set by appointment and do not follow county boundaries, so the company serving a given property in Isle of Wight depends on its location rather than on the county alone. Plumbing and water fittings in England and Wales are governed by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, which water undertakers enforce and which set the standard leak investigation and repair work is carried out to.[3]
Towns and cities covered[edit]
ADI publishes a dedicated location page for five of the nine settlements its coverage data records in Isle of Wight: Cowes, Newport, Ryde, Sandown and Shanklin.[1] The remaining settlements are within the county ADI publishes as a service area but do not have a page of their own, so the list above is what ADI publishes rather than the limit of where it works.
ADI coverage[edit]
Six of the 22 engineers ADI publishes list Isle of Wight among the counties they cover: Krzysztof Kobylinski (Reading, Berkshire), Mark Pavitt (Teddington, Greater London), Richard Poberezniuk (Chippenham, Wiltshire), Artur Sowa (Ringwood, Hampshire), Kyle Storkey (Bracknell, Berkshire) and Gabor Weber (Didcot, Oxfordshire).[4] Each engineer's coverage is taken from the county list published on their own ADI profile; the county is not necessarily worked in full by every engineer listed. That places Isle of Wight 25th of 70 by number of covering engineers.
