Leak detection in Durham is the provision of water leak detection services in Durham, a county in England. ADI Leak Detection publishes Durham as a service area and its coverage data lists 34 settlements in the county, of which eleven have a dedicated ADI location page.[1] Two of ADI's 22 published engineers list Durham among the areas they cover.[4][5]

Water supply and regulation[edit]

Water and sewerage services in Durham are provided principally by Northumbrian Water.[2] Water company supply areas are set by appointment and do not follow county boundaries, so the company serving a given property in Durham depends on its location rather than on the county alone. Plumbing and water fittings in England and Wales are governed by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, which water undertakers enforce and which set the standard leak investigation and repair work is carried out to.[3]
